About me and the site

"Montpelierian" is actually just a generic identity that can act as the website's owner - for that reason you shouldn't see me express a view - I'm just here to keep the site running. I'm actually several people, all of whom have their own separate log-ins for when they want to express a view or share news, rather than just changing the size of the fonts or something. I am, however, flattered to have so many friends.

There's a chance to meet the new owner Julian McLaughlan and his new tenant manager Wayne Campbell on Saturday 26th April, 11-12 in the Cadbury. A chance to welcome our new neighbours and to find out about their plans for the pub.

I seem to have missed the private meeting of concerned residents regarding "opposition" TO THE Cadbuty pub. I think most of us are only concerned about noise and drunken customers disturbing the peace after about 11p.m. Obviously Ican only really speak for myself. The idea of a local community pub is really quite an attractive idea, but the reality is that sometimes there are some small disturbances. Let's all try to keep things in perspective and accept that a bit of life is better than no life at all. The liscensee has distributed letters forwarning us all about the Haloween party, which I think is quite considerate. The stret party in lower Montpelier for the winter solstice sounds like a nice communal idea as well.
