Just discovered a great tool for quickly informing the relevant authority about a problem in the local area. Go to , type in your postcode, stick a pin in the map, upload a photo if you can, and quickly describe the problem. The data gets fed to the Council. It's great because it allows problems to be tracked and shared by the whole community. Give it a go!

Montpelier Park

At the last open meeting on 12th Nov, there was interest in re-forming the Montpelier Park Group, which made some improvements to the Park a few years ago. If you look in the "Forums" bit of the website, there's a discussion started by Kevin Dennis on this issue, which prompted this as an agenda item.

To cut a long story short, there are problems with drug use in the park and drugs litter being left behin… Continue

Clean-up on Saturday 6th October

The Council will be joining local residents for a clean-up around the Picton St/Bath Buildings area.

Starting at 11 am, how much we achieve will depend on numbers attending. Meet by the entrance to the surgery car park.

If you didn't get a flyer, there's a copy available here.

Hello Dan
I've been away for a few days in Norway visiting my cousin.
Yes, it looks really good - especially the Montpelier park sign as the site banner ! I dont fully appreciate yet all the fora and noticeboards the site could potentially enable, but I shall explore ...
Is there some simple way all those 45+ people we have listed on the hotmail MAG group can be 'migrated' here - so we can do group mailings and then ask them to follow link to the site ? (or is this already in place via your 'invitation' to me / others to join the site ?).
For instance, we should post up some info and photos about what we are planning to do for the Clean Up working party on 3 June, and then point people to that page for more info and sign up. We dont seem to have very many people confirming they will do 3 June yet. So the more we can pump it up, the better (I think) !
Robin
