Anyone got any ideas how to stop fly tipping and littering in the area?

I wonder if it is worth dividing the problems up as a start. From my point of view, the main issues are littering (bad on Picton St, and the bottom half of Richmond Road), fly-tipping (particularly by the side of Radford Mill Farm shop), dog-fouling (again, Richmond Road and Picton St), and the build-up of commercial waste on a few sites, notably round the shops and sometimes around the Doctors' surgery on Bath Buildings. Any others that should be added?

To either side of Herbert's there is also always an awful lot of dog pooh too.
Wish there was CCTV along Woodmancote Road (the alley running to the side of Banner Road from Ashley Road to Shaftesbury Ave). Not only are there a few unsavoury people who pass through/loiter, but sometimes stationary vehicles with their lights off. There's a constant mound of clothing, TVs, beds, cycles etc, and regular dumping of cooking oil barrels.

There's a meeting between residents and Paul Rosser of Bristol City Council taking place on Monday, 19th November, at 11 am. Meet on Picton Mews/Picton St. by the Charley Box.

Any residents who can make it are welcome. Please contact Dave Irwin or Dave Miles via montpelieraction@hotmail.co.uk ifr you're planning on being there.
