Celebrating and improving the best district in Bristol

Evening post take Bristol City Council to task over Montpelier rubbish

The Bristol Evening Post is running a story on the St. Andrews Road dump

http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/homepage/Bristol-City-Council-land-d...

However, they have failed to pick-up on the broader themes of detritus that plague the area:

- Dog fouling
- Ripped-open rubbish bags a permanent feature of the streets
- Wheelie-bins crowding the pavements
- Inadequate collections for Picton St. area
- Inadequate refuse facilities for multi-occupancy homes and flats
- Anti-social parking on every pavement

Why not write in on the story's comments form and give the BEP the hard evidence.

Now we're all on Google StreetView we can show the evidence without stirring from our screens:

See Bristol City Council's St. Andrews' Road dump in it's glorious ...

Re dog waste, a few friends and I started 'picton treats' a flickr group providing evidence: http://www.flickr.com/groups/pictontreats/ But best of all would be GPS geocoded pictures, as the iPhone app for FixMyStreet does: http://www.mysociety.org/2008/12/10/fixmystreet-iphone/
