Yes, when people see a straight road ahead for about 200 yds they put their foot down, regardless of what could be happening on the street. I'm all for 20 mph limits on residential streets.

Probably a bit late now, but your mention of "exclusion" of some roads left me wondering which roads might be excluded. I live on York Road and, in case there is any doubt, it definitely should be included. Are there still roads to be excluded?

you are not alone. you need to speak to pc simon humphrey (simon.humphrey@avonandsomerset.police.uk). Similar problems have been discussed at 'police and communities together' (PACT)meetings. Steve

Hi Steve, I totally agree with this. With all the pavement parking on Richmond Road we don't see too much speed, but St. Andrews Road can get pretty hairy! All best, Dan
