From Mauretania to Montpelier

A Willow Warbler arrived in Montpelier Park this morning - amazing to think that a week or two ago it was in sub-Saharan Africa!

Our garden overlooks the Montpelier station embankments, and the amount of birdlife is amazing: in the last 18 months we have seen a Sparrow hawk, a pair of Jays, today Long tailed tits which have just been bouncing around the creepers at our window ledges looking amazingly cute. Also recently seen a Gold finch, lots Coal / Blue Tits, Dunnocks, Sparrows, Blackbirds, a pair of collared Turtle Doves and a few Wood Pigeons who are very funny to watch. One flew into our window after I cleaned it. It seemed to be ok...what I want to know is are there badgers? we suspect due to holes in our lawn where I suspect they are looking for leather jacket larvae?
